How to remain positive during the pandemic

It is hard right now. Very hard. 

It is easy to stay focused on the calamity of Covid19 ~ I know because my partner gently reminds me daily to get the ‘f’ off the news. 

This is serious & our world has changed because of it. We need to be vigilant & keep our distance to flatten the curve, yes,....but focusing on the negative is counterproductive. 

We do not need to be the experts. We need to listen to the experts & then we need to continue to live. 

Here are a few ideas to bring some positive energy back into focus. 

🦚 Limit your intake. Start right now. Choose one reputable source & determine how long & when you will listen. Then stick to this. 

🦚 Humor. Watch a funny video to take your mind off current events. A big fat belly laugh will inject you with happy endorphins & strengthen your immunity. 

🦚 Sprinkle kindness in abundance to your neighbors. You may be fine & low risk, but you have elderly neighbors or those with low immune systems & these people need checking in on. Keep your distance. 

🦚 Found time is a gift right now, use it well. Create some structure, including exercise, creativity, reading etc & stick to it. 

🦚 Gratitude ~ end your day with an inventory of all the positive things in your day. This will dilute some of the negativity & remind you not everything is bad & that there is sunshine on the horizon. 

We just need to dig deep to weather this storm globally. Keep connected digitally to your loved ones, this too shall pass.
